On a recent Friday, residents of the Belmont neighborhood in the Bronx signed up for the weekly food pantry in front of the local mosque, the Masjid Adam. Every week, the sidewalk on Crotona Avenue fills up with produce, vegetables, canned goods and other items for the afternoon distribution.
